It is impossible to say, but bleeding does not always mean that a miscarriage is inevitable. Many women bleed and it eventually settles, while in other cases it does not but increases and becomes accompanied by cramps.

∙ 15y agoIt could be a cervical change that can cause vaginal bleeding. Vaginal bleeding can also be a symptom of ectopic (tubal) pregnancy. Another cause for bleeding during pregnancy is a miscarriage although the first two reasons for bleeding are more common, it is still a good idea to contact your doctor if you are too concerned.

∙ 13y agoNot to scare you, but it is NOT normal to bleed when your pregnant. If your only bleeding a small amount, this could mean you have an ECTOPIC pregnancy where the egg fertilizes in the fallopian tubes instead of the ovary, and starts to grow: this will result in death of the baby, and possibly fatal to you, if not checked out soon enough. If you start to bleed more, this could be an unfortunate miscarriage.

∙ 13y agoFor some people it can be normal. It shouldn't be heavy with blood clots in it. That would be a miscarriage.

Yes, I talked to a young woman who had been through this. She got her period just like normal and so did not know that she was pregnant until she was eight months pregnant. Also, her stomache didn´t really look any bigger. She gained 7 lbs and it was the baby, she didn´t gain any extra weight. I have also seen online that other women have gotten their periods while pregnant, but they did not say whether or not they knew that they were pregnant.
