For a 20 year old to have sex with a 16 year old IS against the law.

If a 20 yr old and a 16 yr old have sex tehnically it's called rape and yes they can get into trouble but just date someone your own age .

Depends on where you live. Some states the age of consent is 16 while others is 18. Check your state for the age. This can make a real difference if you become sexually active because the 23 year old is an adult and could be charged with rape of a minor. This would ruin his life and he could end up in a cell with a someone named Bubba looking for a boyfriend.
