Attempting suicide is not a criminal offense in Western Australia. However, it is highly recommended to seek help from mental health professionals and support services if you or someone you know is struggling with thoughts of suicide. There are resources available to provide assistance and support during difficult times.

It is illegal in the United States to commit suicide. It does not matter if you are a child, or very old.
No it is not illegal to commit suicide...because you can not arrest a dead person and put them on trial for a crime.. It is however illegal to fail at committing suicide which is then called attempted suicide, such as if you over dose on aspirin and are taken to the hospital and they save your life, you will then be charge with attempted suicide...
it is considered illegal

It is not illegal in the UK to know that someone has expressed a wish to commit suicide. It is however illegal to assist someone to kill themselves. The UK Suicide Act of 1961 states "A person who aids, abets, counsels or procures the suicide of another, or attempt by another to commit suicide shall be liable on conviction on indictment to imprisonment for a term not exceeding fourteen years."
No, it is not illegal. It used to be, and many believe that it still is. I found out last year that the law is no longer valid. In Australia the laws for suicide and attempted suicide varied for each state. It is no longer illegal to commit suicide or attempt suicide, except for the Northern Territory where it is illegal to attempt suicide. The suicide laws were abolished in NSW in 1900, in South Australia in 1935 under section 13A of the Criminal Consolidation Act, and in Victoria in 1958 under the Victorian Crimes Act. You can find these on the internet by googling the key words (crimes or criminal act in the appropriate state or country). It's important to put the word "act" to relate it to actual written laws. Previously, when suicide was illegal there were implications on your estate once you died, but I'm not sure exactly what these implications were. The laws were abolished in the UK under the suicide act of 1961. It was abolished as a crime in the Irish Republic in 1993. In France it was back in the 1700s (sorry, I found this one on wikipedia but I can't remember the exact date. The others I found the actual law under government websites)
it means you helped the person get the tools to commit suicide convinced them to commit suicide or gave them reason to commit suicide

It would be "commit suicide", because you do it to yourself, and can only do it (right) once. To "commit a suicide" would imply multiple are possible, which is not true, using the indefinite article, "a".
