According to the Mayo Clinic, as long as there is no fever present, mild to moderate exercise is usually acceptable, and it can even help open the nasal passages and relieve congestion. As long as your symptoms are “above the neck” (runny nose, sore throat, etc.), you’re good to go. However, even if you don’t have a fever, exercise should be avoided if you are experiencing “below the neck” symptoms, such as nausea or chest congestion.

In general, though, listen to your body. If exercise makes your symptoms worse, take a few days off, or at the very least, shorten the duration of the workout and keep the intensity level low. Also keep in mind that you may be contagious, and it’s probably better to avoid public gyms where you could transmit germs to other people.

Yes, because exercise gives you energy and energy gives you power so it will make you healthy and not sick.

Another answer It is best to let your body recover during the first few days of a cold. If you are an athlete and have a competition, it's all right to perform with a cold as long as you don't also have a fever or any other symptoms of illness. Similarly, if you continue to work out even in the first few days of an ordinary cold, as long as you do not have a fever it is unlikely that anything bad will happen. What may happen, however, is that exercise prolongs the cold. Instead of just fighting the cold, you would also be asking your body to recover from exercise, which is obviously more taxing. Therefore, you may turn what would have been a 7-day cold into a 10 or 14 day cold. For that reason, a better procedure is not to exercise during the first few days of a cold. After that, begin some mild exercise as you begin to feel better.

I'm no doctor or anything like that, I've been having a really bad cold 4 about a week now and I'm still working out, just not as much as I usually do; and i also have Asthma. But drink a lot of water, and theraflu works great for a cold.

After that, begin some mild exercise as you begin to feel better. So it's best not to exercise with a cold if you have even a slight fever or any (green or yellow) colored nasal discharge.

If you have no fever and just a common cold, mild to moderate physical activity is usually ok. By temporarily relieving nasal congestion and opening your nasal passages, the workout may even help you feel better. For illness and exercise, consider this as a general guide: 1- If symptoms are all above the neck, the workout is okay. These up neck symptoms include nasal congestion, common cold, sneezing, running nose, or minor sore throat. 2- Reduce the intensity of your workout. For example, take a walk instead of going for a run. 3- Don't exercise if you have symptoms that are below the neck, such as the upset stomach, a hacking cough, and chest congestion. 4- If you have widespread muscle aches, fatigue, or fever, don't exercise.
