It depends on what sect you follow (shiite/suni) and if you follow shiite then it may differ a bit from one school to another. However, it depends on its source and therefore, you have to ask its manufacture. If it's vegan then it's Halal for all. If it's from fish then its halal for suni. As for shiite if the fish is halal then its Gelatin is halal.If it's from cow and the cow was butchered in the Islamic way then it's halal for both Suni and Shia if not then you need to check with the school you follow. I am not aware if there is any who consider the gelatin that's made from bovine is halal.
