No, frosted flakes isn't high in calories, but it is very HIGH in sugar. A lot of sugar will make you gain weight. It says it gives you energy but it's because of all the packed sugar. Summary: they aren't a good diet food

You can eat whatever you want when you're dieting to lose weight. The key to weight loss is not what you eat, but how much you consume and how much energy you burn. Weight loss is achieved by burning more calories than you consume. You could eat just Trix cereal and lose weight given you burned it all off and then some.

What you eat does count in other ways though. Enjoy your Trix, but try to avoid processed foods like kids cereals. Eating high fiber, whole foods will help you feel fuller and make your diet much easier to deal with while giving you more complete nutrition to fuel your body.
