That's an interesting question, and sounds pretty biased, but I'm not sure what you've read. If you think that anyone who is religious is a religious freak, then the reason is probably because religious people make up a lot of the population, and so of course they are represented here. If you think that only people with extreme religious views are the ones that are freakish... then, what is extreme, and why does it cause you to react emotionally? The only answer there is that you are reading in an area where extreme views are to be found. ... A good solution might be to stay out of the religion categories and focus on something that you can be for, rather than something that you feel you have to be negative toward.
