Bonded leather is leather fibers from milled scraps. It is held together by a bonding agent (glue). It is made in a manufacturing process that is similar to paper making.

In many cases (particuarly the UK) this cannot be sold as 'leather' but must be designated as 'bonded leather'

No bonded leather is not real leather. It is made from scraps of leather that are ground up and stuck together with some form of latex. Generally speaking it cannot be sold as real leather.
