For reference, a "normal" heart rate for most people is 60 - 100 bpm. You probably already know that.

Yours is very low. Most people, as mentioned above, are 60 bpm or above. However, with only a few months of intense training, a moderately athletic person could potentially reach a point of having such a low heart rate.

If you've been training intensely, particularly aerobic exercise like running or cycling, it's possible that your low heart rate is just a result of your heart's improved ability to move blood through your body. If that's the case, good job. You're well-conditioned, and assuming you have no symptoms of bradycardia (a low heart rate) such as dizziness or light-headedness upon standing, there's no great cause for concern.

If, however, you experience any such symptoms, or you are not in excellent athletic shape, you should really consult a physician about your slow pulse, as it could be an indicator of serious underlying problems. Un-athletic people should not have heart rates in the 30's.

Yes, in fact this is normally a good sign. Unless you are experiencing any abnormal symptoms (low blood pressure/fatigue/dizziness), a low heart rate implies one is physically fit. Lance Armstrong is known to have a resting heart rate of around 32 bpm. Trained athletes often have lower heart rates. Links have been found between longevity and low resting heart rates.

34 beats per minute is pretty slow however it can vary greatly. A healthy person in great shape, an athlete, would have a much slower heart beat than an unhealthy person. 34 beats per minute is possible for a healthy person.
