Honestly, it depends what your major is. If youre a freshman, a 2.5 is considered average..since your just getting settled in and all that stuff. If youre in a challenging major, a 2.5 isn't bad. If youre looking to do something after college, grad school, medical school, etc, then a 2.5 is a problem. Graduate programs almost always want a 3.0, and medical schools want a 3.3 and higher. If you are just getting a diploma, chances are your employer wont pay much attention to your gpa.

A GPA of 2.75 is approximately equivalent to a "C+" average. A perfect 4.0 GPA is equivalent to Straight A's. Likewise, 3.0 GPA is a B average, while a 2.0 GPA is a C average. Many colleges/universities offer academic honors such as Dean's List and graduation with honors or Cum Laude. Specific requirements to achieve these honors will vary depending on your college, but are typically above a 3.0 GPA.

*Actually, on the 4 point scale, a B- is worth 2.7, and a C+ is worth 2.3. So if you have a 2.75 you are just above a B- average. Good Job! :) By the way, at most colleges anything above a 2.0 is considered 'good academic standing.'*

A 2.75 GPA is actually a B- average. A C+ average is 2.3. However, always check with your university and see if their grade point scale is different.

It is slightly better than average (satisfactory). In most colleges and universities that grade on a 4.0 scale the following is typical.

* 4.0 (A) - Excellent * 3.0 (B) - Good * 2.0 (C) - Satisfactory * 1.0 (D) - Below Average (minimum pass) * 0.0 (F) - Failure

A grade point average of 2.5 is a little better than "Fair" and not "Good". However in graduate schools the grade of fair is more respectable than in secondary American schools.

Not really, It's about C+ slightly below B-, also depends on area of study, If it is in Engineering/Technology, pretty good, But in business is not commendable.

A 2.75 GPA is not good, sorry. Anything above a 4.0 is considered "good."
