Well, this is certainly an above average score. But Good/ Bad/Great is all very relative. You see, 1770 is not good for colleges like Harvard, Vassar, Amherst , UCLA. But it is okay for some very nice colleges like Earlham, Gettysburg, and so on. And further this is a great score for Wichita State, Ceveland state. Thus it depends upon where you are applying.
Further you must remember that Scores aren't everything in a College Admission, most colleges have a very qualitative basis of admission. So Best of luck, don't worry, and put your best in the Essay (this a very crucial part of application).
All the best.
Depends on what kind of goals you have set for yourself. If you're shooting for Ivy League schools or anything close to that, then 1710 is a little low. But it's a competitive score if your applying to a public college in your state or other lower-tier colleges. If you still have the opportunity to take the test again and you think you can do better, then I'd recommend you take it again.
Also don't over-emphasize your standardized test scores since your grades and the rigor of your courses in high school are also very important to colleges.
The average SAT score is usually around 1500. The standard deviation (SD) for each subject is about 100, but SD for the entire SAT is different (look online for full details). Overall, a 1700 is definitely above average compared with the rest of the U.S.
However, a 1700 may or may not be a good score when applying to college. If you apply to a prestigious school such as Harvard or MIT, the average SAT scores range from 2000 to 2300, so a 1700 will place you at a disadvantage. This doesn't mean you'll automatically get rejected; you still have a chance (as long as you have impressive credentials). A 1700 at a regular state university, on the other hand, may be above the average score.
SAT tests are important for getting into college. A SAT score of 1790 is a very good score for a junior high school student.
There are many different SAT scoring rubrics. Some add up to 2400. If this is the case, then 1500 on a 2400 point test is not very good. (I got a 1770 when I took it in 8th grade.)
For most colleges and universities 1400 SAT score is considered a good score for admissions.
there is no such score. it is up to 2400
lax
No
no. it is the worst grade
its binghamton university chief. and your gonna need a good sat score. I'd say a 1900+
If you are talking about credit score, understand that I am not a credit expert, but since a credit score of 620 is bad, 215 would be a terrible credit score. If this is for a test like the SAT, this is also horrible. The average score of the SAT is about 500, and even that isn't that good of a score.
You don't know how to use punctuation so your SAT score probably isn't going to do you much good in life.
i think a good one
Your SAT score is out of 2400. Each section is scored out of 800 points. I'm in year six my Sat results have came i IV got 6A and my score is 2200/2400 i hope you do well good luck for now
It is almost exactly average. The average score in 1997 was 1016.
