Yes of course, TV is allowed in Islam. However, it is not allowed to watch sexy movies or sexy episodes that are not allowed in Islam. In addition, watching TV should not distract the Muslim from practicing the ritual worships and/or doing good deeds for other needy people.
No, it is not forbidden particularly if there is no other practical choice. What is explicitly not allowed, oer Quran, is to eat pork meat unless being obliged to save your life.
Islam doesn't give a detailed list of the entertainments that are allowed. It gives a list of items that are not allowed. In other words, all entertainment is allowed except the one that falls in the forbidden category. What is that list? I can mention a few things that come to my mind. May Allah Almighty forgive me if I forget some part of it. * Obscenity. Movies are condemned by some of our Ulema because they are seen to be obscene. You don't have to agree with what I say, but I do agree with those Ulema who condemn movies. * Consuming products that are haram, i.e. alcohol, pork etc. * Indulging in activities that draw you away from the remembrance of the Almighty, especially prayers. Some forms of music would most certainly fall into this category, and some in the first category. Some people condemn chess for the same reasons. * Any other activity that is otherwise not acceptable to the shari'ah. For instance, deceiving others, gambling, stealing, telling lies etc. Everything else is allowed in Islam for the purposes of entertainment, although Islam would caution you that you haven't come in this world primarily to enjoy. However, if you get bored, or in order to keep your spirits alive, you feel like doing something different, you can get involved in any entertainment of your choice that are not disallowed in the Qur'an.

A highly debatable and much discussed question. Personally, I don't believe they add anything to the proceedings and, indeed, may take away much. The unfortunate and human tendency to "play to the cameras" is almost overwhelming on the part of both the defense and the prosecution (see: The O.J. Simpson trial) would be overwhelming and could quite possibly lead to unintended consequences in the meting out of justice.
Yes, of course. What is the wrong with that. I wonder from the question.
