∙ 9y agoAssuming that Pakistan is continuing down the track of incorporating more Islamist provisions into its governing principles, I can only conclude that Pakistan will not have a Golden Age in the foreseeable future. If Pakistanis return to the vision of Muhammad Ali Jinnah, who held that women and men should have civic and legal equality and the minorities should be subject to equal treatment even in a majority-Muslim state, then Pakistanis may have a chance at a Golden Age, but this dream seems less and less likely every day that passes.
