Yes, of course. PCOS is one of the most common infertility issues. Treatment can involve medications such as Metformin (used for Diabetes) or Clomid (used to induce ovulation). Diet and exercise should also be part of PCOS treatment. It is still possible to get pregnant with PCOS, many women do. See a fertility specialist (reproductive endocrinologist) for more information.

of course.the true entire treatment protocol is 1.5 yrs..its a form of pro-diabetic stage, signifying impaired egg production..if untreated may lead to cyst,in certain cases malignancy.unless the female gets into normal BMI,the chances of recurrence is high.treatment differs for married and unmarried.

PCOS can be managed and in some (not all) cases the effects of it can be lessened. Maintaining appropriate weight and checking hormone levels will reveal whether or not BCP would be a good option to help regulate.

A woman who is not trying to conceive will not need to do anything out of the ordinary unless the effects of PCOS are affecting daily life. A woman with PCOS who is trying to conceive may need to see an OB/GYN or Reproductive Endocrinologist to discuss options of fertility medications.

What is the treatment for Polycystic ovary syndrome ?

There is no one treatment for PCOS. There are many different treatments available depending on the severity of PCOS symptoms. The most effective "treatment" is eating a healthy, balanced diet and exercising regularly (especially if you are overweight). This helps to regulate hormone levels, which in turn should reduce the severity of the symptoms. The main symptoms of PCOS are excess body and facial hair, obesity, adult acne, few or no menstrual periods, irregular periods and infertility. There are treatments available for all of these symptoms. Your doctor should discuss your symptoms and how they are affecting you and will arrange a regimen of treatments to combat your symptoms.
