Is Nikon D5000 with the lenses that come with it a good camera for interior or architectural photography?
No. Architectural photography requires control over converging vertical lines. Anytime you shoot a building and don't hold the camera perfectly perpendicular to the building's surface, the vertical surfaces of the building willh converge making it look like it's leaning in the picture. You need 1) a view camera with tilt, shift & swing lens plate and ground glass, or 2) perspective control lenses for the D5000, which run over $1000 a pop.

What are good Nikon lenses to shoot nude?
The new Nikon AF-S 24-70mm f/2.8 G ED, is a wonderful lens for the job. However if you are on a budget, then you may also want to look at the older Nikon 28-70mm f/2.8 AF-S.. Both these are outstanding lenses and the ones that stay on my camera the most.... However if both of the Nikon lenses seem expensive, you can always try the Sigma 28-70mm F2.8 EX DG lens. This is a fast and robust lens too. And for your purposes, just fine...
What lenses are compatible with Nikon d40x?
All lenses with Nikon mount are compatible with Nikon D40. If the question rephrase : "What lenses are able to autofocus with Nikon D40", then the answer is : the new Nikon AF-S lenses (with Silent Wave Motor inside), Sigma lens bearing HSM code, and upcoming Tamron lenses (18-200mm, 17-50mm and 70-300mm).
Nikon Nikkor Lenses for Nature Photography?
It depends, of course, on what you want to photograph. Assuming it isn't underwater photography, wildlife photography tends to be either of animals from a distance - so the longest, quickest lens you can afford and carry (the Nikon 600mm f/4 VR comes to mind) or taking close-ups of small animals (insects and so on) or plants, in which case one of the Nikon micro lenses would be appropriate.
Canon XSi digital camera Lenses for Wedding Photography?
There is no perfect answer to this question. However, here are some suggestions:. For the XSi, the most convenient lens is a zoom with 17mm or 18mm focal length at the wide end of the zoom range (equivalent to around 28mm focal length for full frame 35mm camera). For nice single or couple portraits, a lens around 60-70mm gives good perspective.. One of the best lenses that will cover this range is the Canon EF-S 17-85mm IS lens. The IS stands for internal stabilization, which stabilizes the image when you are hand-holding the camera and not using flash. If you want more telephoto than 85mm, Canon has recently released the 18-200mm IS lens that should also be excellent for weddings.
Is the Nikon S230 a good camera?
All of the major manufacturers make good cameras. You should shop on the basis of features and price. I would be leery of touch-screen cameras, however. They have not been on the market long, and there may be bugs in manufacturing and software. They also tend to be fragile. The one I tried out had a disconcerting habit of doing things without my permission, but I'm sure that was my inexperience. My philosophy is, if it works, don't fix it. Touch screens are all the rage these days, but that does not make them the best answer when it comes to camera controls.
How is the Nikon D5000 inferior to the D90?
I don't think that "inferior" is the correct term. Really they are targetted at different markets. The major advantage of the D90 is that it has an internal AF motor so can focus on any AF Nikkor lens. The D5000 requires an AF-S lens to do the same thing. Other considerations are more external control buttons and wheels on the D90 and higher shutter lifespan. The one thing that the D5000 has that the D90 does not is the swivel LCD screen. Since I don't use live view at all, the swivel does nothing for me, but someone who uses it, especially for video may find it useful.
Do nikons only take nikon lenses?
Like virtually all camera makers, Nikon's camera mount is propriatory to Nikon, but there are third party manufacturers - Sigma and Tamron are probably the most well known - who make compatible lenses.
Is Nikon d40 a good camera?
In my view, the nikon d40 is not really good one. The most obvious shortcoming of the Nikon D40 camera, is the absence of an autofocus driver in the camera body. What this means, is that if autofocus is important to the way you take pictures, they you are somewhat limited in the number of lenses you can use with the D40. Only about ten percent of the available lenses for the Nikon D40 have autofocus drives built into the lenses. Needless to say, those lenses are considerably more expensive than lenses without autofocus. In addition, most SLR's in this price range, allow you to take pictures in the RAW format, and the D40 is no exception. What is a bit surprising, is that when you take pictures with the RAW and JPEG format at the same time, the D40 only uses a very basic JPEG format. For a camera in this price range I would have expected better. You can have a see. http://www.dinodirect.com/
Will Pentax smc lenses fit a Nikon camera?
No, unless you make an adapter for it. Surprisingly, the Nikon bayonet lens will fit the Pentax K body. Only loosely. Infinity is incorrect but if you handle it carefully, you can take a picture with it.
Is Nikon D5000 good camera?
The Nikon D5000 is rated as an excellent camera by the major photography magazines online. It is considered an entry-level to enthusiast level DSLR. Costco has a package deal for the camera body, two VR zoom lenses and a camera bag for 824.99. BHAudioVideo has a very good deal on the body only or with one zoom. A comparable camera, nikon d3000 with a two lens kit is 599.99 at best buy, at least here in our local store. I am wavering between these two but will likely own one of them in a few days. Good luck. oh and they kick a$$ botth of them i sware yo
Is the Nikon Coolpix S220 a good camera?
Yes, the Nikon Coolpix S220 is a good camera! Although, it does have it's ups and downs. The good part to the camera is that it can take very good pictures, can record videos with sound, is small and light, and it can take pics with different kinds of modes. However, it's VERY delicate. I have one, and the first time I dropped it, it broke. I know you'd think most things would break if you drop it, but I was holding it about 2 inches from the CARPET, and it fell, and broke. Now it takes weird pictures.
What can you do with a Good camera for photography but it is a film camera do people still use film cameras?
Yes people still use film cameras. For the money you get much finer resolution from film -- for the average person who just takes snapshots and usually only has 4x6 prints made, it's a lot easier to have digital. But if you want to do a huge enlargement, then dollar for dollar a film camera will be far less expensive because the higher the megapixel count needed to achieve the same enlargement, the price of the camera can go up astronomically.
Will Nikon d50 lenses work with Nikon d5000 cameras?
Yes but older AF lenses that do not have an autofocus motor in them will not autofocus with the D5000.
How do you focus your Nikon D5000 camera when filming?
If you have an AF, or auto-focus lens (like the kit 18-55mm lens) you can focus your lens prior to filming, but cannot auto-focus while filming. To manually focus, switch the switch on the side of your lens to 'M' for manual. To focus, turn the outer focus ring on the lens until your subject matter is clear.
What lens does the Nikon D5000 come with when bought off the shelf?
The Nikon D5000 comes with a Nikkor AF-S 18-55mm kit lens when bought, though you can also purchase the camera new without the lens, or with a series of other choices of lenses. This lens is a good starting lens to learn the basics with, but if you are looking for a more professional method of photographing, I would recommending investing in a prime or zoom lens.
What is a good camera to get after having a Nikon D40 for a few years?
If you've been using the D40 for basic photography or anything below professional photography or photojournalism, I'd go for the D90. On that note, if you've been using a Nikon, I'd keep using it, a) because the lenses you have now will still fit, and b) the controls and menu functions are similar. Anyway, the 90 has a better "highest quality" setting than the new 40's, 3000's, or 5000's. It also has a larger display, and the ergonomics are fixed.
Which one is better Nikon D3000 or Nikon D5000?
I agree. I have a d5000 and my close friend has a d3000. They're both great cameras capable of beautiful images, yet the d5000 has seemed so show more depth and just a bit sharper of images. It depends on lens and such too, but id go with the d5000 for sure, for only a couple hundred dollars more it is definitely worth the investment.
Are slr cameras good for landscape photography?
They would be used in the vast majority of cases due to their relative ease of use and ability to accept different lenses or filters that one might use to enhance the image. So, yes. The rangefinder camera could be a close second. However, the slr is not the absolute best. A panoramic camera (fairly rare) would be better for wide scenery. For the absolute in image control, a view camera (aka field or monorail) can't be beat.
How do you turn on video on Nikon D5000?
Turn the camera on and press the Lv (liveview) button just above the OK button/arrows and to the right of the lcd screen. When you're ready to record, press the OK button; to stop, press it again. If you'd like to lock the exposure (so it won't change in different lighting) press the AE-L/AF-L button (it has a picture of a tiny lock to the left of it) that is to the right of the viewfinder when recording.
What is better Nikon d5000 or d3100?
Depends on what your wanting, if you want something more video based, you'll probably want the D5000. But, if you want something more photography based, you more likely to want the D3100. I'm going with the D3100 instead of the D5100 because it looks more video based.

The quality of a Nikon depends on the models, but typically in the models from the past couple years the image stabilizers inside the lower end models are fairly cheap. Do you need a really good camera to take photography pictures?
With the quality of the new digital cameras, you don't really need an expensive camera to take good pictures. There are 12 MP cameras available for $99 or less that will beat the snot out of a 5 MP Nikon of a couple of years ago. Just remember that higher resolution means more memory usage, so when shooting remember to set your resolution with printing in mind. If you are going to print as a 4x6 then 3 MP will be fine. If you are looking at enlarging to 8x10 you might want to up the resolution to 5 or 7 MP.

Is the Nikon d200 a good outdoor camera?
While the Nikon D50 is excellent, its resolution, features, and price fall below that of the Canon Rebel XT. The D70's features, and price likewise fall just below the Canon 20D. And the new Nikon D200 exceeds the Canon 20D in resolution, price, and features. Between the 10.98 megapixel D200 and the 12.4 megapixel D2x is the 12.8megapixel Canon 5D. Though you could argue which was "better" for what usage, in terms of price and the majority of features, the 5D sits above the D200 in most aspects due to its full-size sensor and most certainly its price, and the D2x rests above the 5D in price and suitability to a wider range of professional photography tasks.
Is the Nikon D3000 good at taking equine photography action shots?
The Nikon D3000 has 10.1 megpixel resolution, and can be a good entry level choice for equine action photography. Nikon's Nikkor lens quality is excellent, the camera features image stabilization, quick shutter response, 11-point autofocus, and allows continuous shooting at "up to" 3 frames per second (use the Sports setting). You can buy other lenses in addition to the one supplied with the camera, but they have to be the Nikkor AF-S type in order for everything to work properly. The faster Nikkor lenses designed for sports photography range in price from about USD $800 to $2000 each, new. The drawback is that 3 frames per second isn't as fast as it sounds, and it is followed by a short lagtime where you can't take pictures at all while the camera processing tries to catch up with you. That means you may be disappointed to miss some good shots. Another potential drawback is that you can't look directly through the lens like you can with some SLR cameras, but use an LCD screen on the back to compose pictures and focus the lens. If you're already used to using LCD screens, you won't find this a problem. While the D3000 is a great camera, you might be happier with the D5000, which has higher resolution and is a little faster, if you can afford to spend another $200 upfront. Look for bargains from reputable online sources.
What lens for a Nikon d5000 should you choose?
With few exceptions, you're going to be much better off only buying Nikkor lenses. Stay away from Sigma and Tamron. The D5000 doesn't have a focus motor, so only buy lenses AF-S, AF-I, or G lenses if you want auto focus. I'll assume you already have the mediocre kit lens (18-55mm). Next you should invest in a fast prime. The Nikkor 35mm f/1.8G AF-S or the Nikkor 50mm f/1.8G AF-S are both excellent lenses.

What is the differen between DX lenses and FX lenses for Nikon camera?
DX type lenses are made specifically for Nikons digital SLR cameras. The optics are designed for use on their APS-C digital sensor which is smaller than 35mm film frames. FX type lenses are "Full Frame" lenses meant to go on 35mm film cameras as well as Nikon's line of full frame digital SLRs like the D700 and D3Xs. DX lenses cannot be used on full frame cameras without vignetting of the frame (darkening of the corners to varying degrees), even though they have the same mount and can be attached and function properly. This is particularly noticeable with wide angle lenses. FX lenses will work just fine on DX bodies but the magnification of the lens will need to be multiplied by a factor of 1.5 to give you a true indication of the lenses magnification. (A 50mm FX type lens, on a DX camera, yields a magnification equivalent to a 75mm lens on a regular full frame body.)
