he would be niether. basically the two party system would not allow an independant minded man like him to be president. basically he was George Washington plus a genious IQ. he was too smart for simple answers and since most of america wants them so they feel smart. today its jackson (R) vs Wilson (D).

basically its like this Democracts say build high speed rail everywhere and waste money

republicans say no government is evil all government spending is bad not just the waste

john quincy adams would say that interesting lets build it in a way that makes the most sense.
