no but He might return oneday
Answer:
The Bible reveals very specific prophecies for which to watch for His return. A particular time to "look up" and see Him.
The fifth seal of Revelation 6 represents the coming "Great Tribulation" described by Jesus in Matthew 24:9-28.
In that description, He tells us that global events will threaten to end all life on earth if something doesn't "shorten those days" [verses 21-22].
This takes us to the sixth seal of Revelation 6: the "heavenly signs."
This matches Jesus' description in Matthew 24, found in [verse 29].
"Immediately after the Tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light...".
The earth darkened by what is prophesied to be some sort of "cloud layering" along with stars... meteor showers, asteroids (?) falling to earth will "shorten" those days, which will probably curtail man's destructive activity on earth and delay the treatened end of life on earth.
None of these things have happened yet. And until the world experiences them, Jesus will not return... because He tells us:
"...and THEN shall appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven..." (Matt.24:30).
The Bible tells us that Jesus is coming back. Most of the world doubts it... but the prophecies are written. So, a person either "believes" it... or he doesn't.
And until we actually "sees" these prophecies being fulfilled, the inner peace, knowledge and understanding of the Holy Spirit upholding a person's belief, faith and hope are what we have.
And the world will continue on its prophesied path toward the day when all life on earth is threatened with extinction. And when that happens, Jesus will arrive just in time to prevent it.
At least, that's what He tells us.
The return of Jesus has been prophesied ever since Mark's Gospel had Jesus saying that the world would end and that they would see him returning in clouds with great glory during the lifetimes of those still living. This did not happen.
There is no reason to expect that Jesus will really return to earth. And just as he has not returned on any prophesied occasion over the last two thousand years, there is no reason to expect that he will return during the present century if he returns at all.
And what would be the purpose of that return? Presumably everyone who deserves to do so will go to heaven, in Christian belief. So, Jesus only has to wait a few years and everyone alive at any particular time will soon be in his presence. If he comes to save the world - save it from what? There will be no great angelic fight on earth between Michael and Satan. Save us from evil? But evil is what people do, of their own free will. Evil is what Hitler and Pol Pot gave us, along with many others. How would Jesus stop future evil dictators or pedophiles doing evil things, if he is unable to do so in heaven?
Saving the world is something that is in our own power. Jesus will not come to save us that responsibility.
Many people think so. Many people don't. He's recorded as having claimed so (John 14:3); it's up to you to decide whether to believe it or not.
Jesus came to save the world. But you have to believe to be saved. Every person ever born has the choice to be saved but many make the wrong choice.
Jesus came into the world to save the world from sin.
Jesus was in this world only to save sinners like you and me.
The nouns in the sentence are: Jesus Christ -- proper noun world -- common noun to -- preposition (not a noun) save -- verb (not a noun) the -- article (not a noun).
No Jesus was not a politision but was a religious teacher come to save and heal the people.
I don't know that much about people who come from Heaven except for Jesus, who came from Heaven to save the world (John 3:16).
Jesus came to the world to save and die on the cross for the sins of the world.
You don't and can't. Only Jesus can save the world in the Christian sense.
We can say that the first prophet to clearly mention the coming of Jesus is the major prophet Isaiah who said 700 years before the birth of Jesus christ. That Jesus would come to save the world of their sin.
Well because God wanted Jesus to come and save us from our sins
They will eventually, then Jesus will come back to save humanity.
jesus in fact was not crucifixed. god created a person who looks exactly like him and took the real jesus to the sky god is so fair that he doesn't let anything bad to happen to jesus and to all the prophets. jesus will come at the end of the world to save humanity.
