Grass is considered a vascular plant.

The evolution of vascular tissue in plants allowed for greater plant complexity and size. Plants no longer had to rely on diffusion alone from their environments, they could tap into water resources far below ground and transport it across all tissues. This result of this adaptation can be clearly seen when you compare a non-vascular plant lie a moss to a vascular plant like a tree.

grass is vascular. it has specialized vascular tissues that transport water (xylem) and nutrients and minerals (phloem).
