I have been having problems with FB all day today. I couldn't log on to any of my games! It was up for a little while around dinner time, and then they've lost it again :(, so you are not the only one.

Sometimes websites crash or undergo maintenance. I'm sure when you experienced this issue facebook was either undergoing construction or was simply having website failure. As of January 2009 the website is running and up. If you can still not access facebook then you should contact your local internet provider (ex: Comcast, Verizon)
