What are opinions about if Digimon is better than Pokemon?

Well, the object of Pokemon is to abduct creatures from the wild so they can be tested, catagorized, and put on a shelf or forced into gladatorial combat for the satisfaction of their owners, and save the world incedently, while Digimon is about forming a bond with a single personal creature and usually being thrust into combat and survival with little choice whether or not to save the fates of two worlds or to just sit back and watch it all burn.

With Pokemon, the creatures are forced to evolve, where with Digimon it's a choice to evolve to protect their partner.

Digimon just has more hope to it, don't you think?

Well that honestly depends on the Pokemon and Digimon in question. Freshly hatched snd infancy (Fresh and intraning Digimon and Pokemon in the early levels.) Pokemon are stronger. Now once a Digimon hits the Rookie levl like Agumon it coul probably take anything up to a fully evolved Pokemon like Charizard, that is to say Charizard would win. A champion level Digimon well, nothing short of mid-tier Legendary Pokemon like Kyogre and Groudon sre going to beat them. The of course the Digimon Divolve to Ultimate and beat them.

Then we get into the high tier legendaries like Dialga and Palkia, only the strongest Digimon will be enough to match them.

So in short Pokemon start out stringer but the Digimon quickly overtake them and dominae for the vast majority of the power comparission but it evens out at the very top. Generally Digimon kick Pokemon butt.

In both "mon" is short for monsters. But in Pokémon "Poké" means pocket so in full, it means Pocket Monsters. While in Digimon "Digi" means Digital, so that means in full it's Digital Monsters. In Digimon, it's all virtual and Pokémon is a bigger franchise. The Digimon can speak English while with Pokémon other than special circumstances such as Team Rocket's Meowth, they all have cries.

Another difference is once a Pokémon evolves, it cannot return to its previous form and with Digimon, they can evolve back and forth between their forms.

No. Digimon in the Mega level are ridiculously powerful, usually having attacks able to level whole cities with a single attack, some of them are even capable of planetary-level destruction. The only Pokémon able to keep up with this level of power would be a few select legendaries and even then I don't think they would last long. Just read the profile for Tactimon, Ebemon, Susanoomon and ZeedMillenniummon for an idea. I don't think they would be able to compete.

Digimon and Pokémon are similar in that you train both creatures but Digimon are digital creatures that are sentient whereas Pokémon are creatures that are physically alive much like dogs, cats, rabbits and birds are, another difference is that with the exception of the Mega Evolution mechanic once a Pokémon evolves it cannot return to its previous form whereas Digimon are capable of returning to their previous forms. Pokémon and Digimon are also similar in the way that they are born since they are both hatched from eggs but Pokémon are known to breed whereas Digimon are not known to breed. Pokémon also typically only have at maximum 2 of 3 additional advanced forms whereas all Digimon have a Baby or Fresh form, an In-training form, a Rookie form, a Champion form, an Ultimate form and a Mega form.
