Depends on the type you like to read. It is very entertaining and funny. It is a total fantasy story, which I love 'cause fantasy is my favorite. If you don't like fantasy, then don't read it.

Another:

I liked it, because it had the three things I like in a book: an adequate story, humor, and gunfights. :)

Another:

I liked to gape at the prepared and advance mind of Artemis and the action. I await the movie with bated breath.

Another: No, It Is actually quite boring it's got all fairies and gay, girly stuff like that. I had read it in welsh and it's crap.

Another: I don't appreciate that last opinion, but hey, it's your life. Personally, I think the Artemis Fowl series is an entertaining, action-y story with a lot of humor, wit, and unexpected things. I would definitely recommend it to someone who enjoys fantasy.

The Artemis Fowl series centres around a child criminal genius (Artemis Fowl) who discovers a secret civilization of mythical creatures (e.g. elves, centaurs, dwarves, etc.) who live underground, driven from the surface by humans millennia ago. Throughout the series, Artemis learns to become a better person, after acquainting himself with several of these creatures, such as Holly Short (an elf) and Foaly (a centaur). These two people (primarily Holly) influence him to become a better person.

This series is one of my favourite, and I would highly recommend it to people of all ages.

Yes, it is. It is kind of gory and action-packed. Yes, It is a very good series. But it is defiantly not gory, if you define gory as 'Unnecessary use of blood and violence'. It does mention some blood, and there is lots of violence, but it is all toward the plot, not blood for the sake of blood. Overall, very good series.

Artemis Fowl and the Time Paradox is a very good book, and in my opinion, the best in the series! I highly suggest reading the others first though, otherwise you won't understand anything else at all that is going on at all. The whole "underground faries" concept might sound stupid at first, but Eoin Colfer has a way of making the whole thing sound completely believable. This combined with tons of action, humor, wit, some drama, and very well developed and loveable characters makes the AF series amazing! ^_^

  • It's an awesome book with adventure and it takes you inside the story and adventure with Artemis and Butler like in the Eternity Code it actually felt like you were there making business with people like Artemis was doing.
  • Artemis is simply a likeable main character, and brings out the evil genius in all the readers.

Artemis Fowl is not a mystery. It is a suspence, action, humor (some) and in the sixth book it becomes a romance. But you figure out everything before the characters do, so no, it is not a mystery. Or nonfiction, but you probably figured that out yourself.
