Technically speaking only Frodo Baggins and Samwise Gamgee are officially members of the fellowship (that being the seven companions chosen or self-elected: Frodo Baggins, Gandalf the Grey, Samwise Gamgee, Gimli son of Gloin, Legolas, Aragorn, and Boromir) but Meriadoc Brandybuck and Peregrin (Pippin) Took unwittingly become inducted into joining Frodo.

The short answer is: I believe you were looking for Frodo, Sam, Pippin and Merry.

Are there mosquitoes in the Lord of the Rings?

Not that I know of. I do not believe they were ever called by that name. However, while the four hobbits were traveling with Strider through the Midgewater marshes, biting insects, called midges, swarmed about the hobbits and bothered them/hurt them persistently.

Who gave The Hobbits their short swords?

In the books, the four hobbits take their long knives/short swords from a Barrow after Tom Bombadil rescues them from the wight that inhabited it. In the movie, Aragorn gives the hobbits their weapons just before the Ringwraiths attack Weathertop.

Opera that inspired Lord of the Rings?

Der Ring des Nibelungen (The Ring of the Nibelung), a four-part epic opera composed by Richard Wagner's is sometimes credited as being a source for J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings. Tolkien himself denied there was any connection, though there are similiarities, possibly due to both being inspired by the same source material, in this case Norse and Celtic epics. See related links.

How tall can a hobbit get to?

Hobbits don't actually exist, so the only thing we have to go on is what Tolkien said: The oldest recorded age for a hobbit prior to Bilbo Baggins was the Old Took, who lived to be 130 years old. Bilbo celebrated his 131st birthday before leaving for the Grey Havens. (Since Bilbo and Frodo (and eventually Sam) went to the Undying Lands, technically there's no upper limit, though Bilbo lived the longest of any hobbit in Middle-Earth.)

How do hobbits give birth?

Hobbits are born exactly the same way men, elves, and dwarves are. With regards to that particular anatomical structure (for lack of a better word) all four races are the same.

What are hobbits?

A fictional humanoid people in the works of J.R.R. Tolkien. Hobbits are some of the central and POV characters in the books The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. Other names for hobbits are Halflings, Hobyltan, and Periannath.Hobbits are basically smaller humans, standing about 3 to 4 feet tall. (They are not a "magical" creature or "fairy".) Notable physical differences are their feet, which are hairy and with leathery soles so they normally go without shoes, and slightly pointed ears (although the last one is never mentioned in the narrative, only in a letter of Tolkien to an illustrator). They are fond of bright colors, many meals and a regulated and calm life, staying close to home.Originally there were three kinds of hobbits: Harfoots, Stoors and Fallohides. They generally preferred different living habitats and had differing physical characteristics, for example the Stoors were the only hobbits that can grow beards. But towards the end of the Third Age (when the Hobbit and the LotR take place) they have long since mingled and moved away from their ancestral lands in the north. At the end of the Third Age there are two lands settled by Hobbits: the idyllic Shire, and in Bree-land (where they live alongsnde humans).
