Riolu evolves by friendship at daytime. you get riolu at iron island it is an egg. also you must help a Guy named Riley you can keep the egg if you help him.
A fast way to get your Riolu to befriend you is to give them a Soothe Bell and battle with it often. If you're in the Ribbon Club in the Resort Area, you can give it a massage daily. Also, feeding it berry's and/or poffins will raise its happiness. You can check up on how much it likes you by going to the Footprint Guy or having the Poketch app that tells you how much your Pokemon likes you.

Tips:
Don't let it lose battles.
Give it some items to use out and inside battles.
Give it Poffins that it likes.
Keep it in your Party.
