If your drivers side power window on your 97 Ford Taurus won't come up and you hear a clicking below the dash is it a fuse and where exactly is the fuse for this window?

Its under your dash to the left of your hood latch to open up your hood. There is a black cover on it that you'll need to remove. On the cover is a diagram of all the fuses underneath. The driver window relay will be shown as the very top left fuse. it is in the driverside door it is a little brown relay with a screw whole on each end I had the same exact problem, I just loosened the three mounting bolts on the window motor and it went right up. re snugged bolts,greased the track and any other moving parts I could get to. works like new.

Why does the window on a 1998 Ford Taurus driver side stopped working?
Often the plug in connector at the drivers side switch can becaome loose and break the connection. Remove the switch and check this.

probably a fuse or power window relay both are located under the dash on the drivers side there is a black cover over the fuse box.
