Yes, you are eligible for British citizenship. Dual nationality is recognise by the United Kingdom. You should contact the British High Commission in South Africa to apply for a British passport.

∙ 12y agoYes. According to the Constitution of South Africa, there may be no discrimination against people because of sexual orientation. Thus, what is true for heterosexual couples is also true for same-sex couples, in terms of marriage, adoption and Immigration.
In both cases, though, there is a process to be followed, and it may take many years to obtain citizenship. The first step is normally to obtain residency, as citizenship usually takes into account the number of years already spent in the country.
Additional info: Specifically, being married to a citizen of South Africa reduces the residency requirement from four years to only two years (both two years of marriage and two years of residency, which may be concurrent) after which the foreigner is eligible to apply for naturalization.
