Anyways, I guess losing your taste wouldn't be too serious unless your a cook or something, but I think completely losing your sense is very serious. You can't walk, can't move, or even chew, all though I've never lost it before(of course, or else I can't type right now lol), living like that will probably be a living hell because you probably feel like your floating in the air since you can't feel any surface you touch.
When you lose your sense of smell you begin to lose taste too. This happens because a large portion of your taste comes from smell.
No reasonable person would like to lose their sense of taste. They would no longer be able to taste the smoked salmon they long for or the escargot they never dared to try.
