Need clarification please. The "it" you are referring to seeing, does that represent; A) the flashlight, B) the light from the flashlight, or C) "the speed of light"? Did you mean to imply that the flashlight was switched on?
Is it an "old fashioned" bulb, an LED bulb, a laser light, or some other energy?

Question. Where did the flashlight get its light from. correct. the flashlight. the moon gets it light from the sun. The moon reflects the light that is provided from the sun and the basketball reflects the light that is provided from the flashlight.
use a candle stick or a flashlight and go in a dark room and hold the egg to the light source but not to close

Speed does not matter- gravity will still have a pull.
If the hold light keeps flashing on a Kia Sportage a sensor may be malfunctioning in the light. The flashing light could also indicate that a speed sensor is going bad.
you need to change the input turbine speed sensor
