You cannot trade with Visual Boy Advance, therefore it is impossible to trade with Pokemon Red or Gold. The emulator is lacking the ability to connect to the internet or with another device. In real life GameBoy Advance, Sapphire would still not be able to trade with previous generations.
In order to trade between a Generation I game (Red, Blue, Green, Yellow) and a Generation II game (Gold, Silver, Crystal), you will need to unlock the Time Capsule on your Generation II game. To do this, you must have made it to Goldenrod City. Go into the Pokecenter, and you will meet Bill. Once you beat Whitney, you will have to go to the Pokecenter in Ecruteak, and talk to Bill there. Go back to Bill's house in Goldenrod and you will have the Time Capsule unlocked.
You can't trade any Generation II (Johto) Pokemon to a Generation I game, and you can't trade any Generation I (Kanto) Pokemon who have Generation II moves to a Generation I game either.
Actually you can...
by buying a flash 2 advance card, you can store downloaded games on it using the flash 2 advance usb to gba link cable.
you CAN'T trade using VBA + USB-GBA cable + GBA..
there also excist some other hardware which is using the printing-port, but i doubt that.
So, you first need to store the 'downloaded ROM file to the empty flash card, and then whenever your ready, you trade yourself using 2 GBA's...
so its going to be like this:
1. GBA + FLASH card [with stored GBA game in this case i take Emerald]
2. link cable GBA to GBA
3. GBA + Pokemon emerald / ruby / sapphire / any other
With the VBA it's only possible to trade using the Netplay feature on a specific version of the emulator. If you want to trade an easier way use the No$GBA emulator and setup the emulator options like so:
Emulated Gameboys:2
Link Cable Type:Automatic
Link Gamepaks:Gamepaks in all GBA's
Do this and save the options and your emulator should create another window with the game you are playing (lets use Pokemon FireRed). So now with two Firered's playing, you and a friend (you can play the 2nd player yourself if you don't have anyone to help you) can now go into the direct corner which is located on the top floor of every pokemon center make sure to talk to the lady behind the far right counter and say Yes to all questions and choose TRADE CENTER. Once everything's done you will have to confirm the link by pressing A on one of the games two times and you will appear in the Trade Center. Now go onto the seats and once both players are seated the trading screen will appear. Your current pokemon party will appear alongside the friends (remember the friend's GBA also must have a save file in order to do all this) and now you can trade. Use the digital pad to scroll and choose your pokemon by pushing A and pushing A on the TRADE option and do the same for your friend. One last screen will appear asking for a confirmation of the trade say YES on both games and the trade will commence. Wait until the trade and saving process is completed and the trade will be successful. This is not the best trading method since you can't switch what game the 2nd player plays but it still will let you receive the trade evolution pokemon such as Machamp.
VisualBoy Advance does not support linking. A modified version, VBAlink, does. Note that this only works for Game Boy Advance games. If you want to trade in an 8-bit Pokemon game, use another emulator, such as BGB.
Right. Here's a wonderful guide on how to do so. http://endlessparadigm.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=1899
Trade using a link cable from gold or silver. At a certin point you can trade using the time machine with blue, red or yellow.
It's impossible. You can't. In FR/LG you can catch Johto Pokemon in the Sevii Islands, and trade from there.
Luckily for you bilinguals (I am too :]) yes
Sadly you can't. You can trade From Yellow to : Red, Blue, Green, Gold, Silver and Crystal. From LeafGreen you can trade to : FireRed, Ruby, Saphire and Emerald.
Only on the Gameboy or Gameboy Color with the special connector cable.
you have to trade from red blue or yellow. zapdos is not catchable in Pokemon silver.
No, Yellow is only able to trade with Red, Blue, Gold, Silver, and Crystal. Sorry.
You'll need to trade for it from Pokemon Red, Blue, or Yellow.
Only Generation 1 Pokemon may be traded between Yellow & Silver. Note: The player using Silver version must only have Generation 1 Pokemon in his/her party and the Pokemon must have learned no moves that did not appear in the Yellow version. Also they mustn't be holding any items that didn't appear in the Yellow version.
by going to the time travel trading on the far right you can trade from and to Pokemon yellow, red, and blue
Yes.
No I don't think so but I think that you should ask tons of people if they done it before like people who play Pokemon yellow version that but I honestly don't know
you cannot trade them. you can only migrate them
you trade it from Pokemon red/blue or yellow
no you can not trade bettween those games
No, because the Blue version wouldn't recognze it(I think). You can't trade from silver, gold, or crystal to anything but red, yellow, blue because new games have different Pokemon not known to old games.
Yes it can. Using the Time Capsule in Gold and Silver it's possible to trade between Red, Blue, and Yellow.
