This is a fascinating thing to think about (Captain).
-- It's easy to travel faster than the Earth can spin. You do that
every time you walk toward the East. Because if you just stand still,
you're already traveling East exactly as fast as the Earth is spinning.
-- So yes. If you leave home and continure walking East, in the same
direction that the Earth is spinning, you'd arrive at your starting point
in less than 1 day.
-- But you'd have to hang there and wait for your home to catch up
with you.
