Not to be harsh but YOU gave HIM UP . Don't expect him to run back at your convenience. Just be friends with him for a while, as hard as that may be and they will eventually break up. And, when they do , you will be right there waiting. But, DON'T ignore him, because that will only make him think that you no longer care . And, what is more, if you are twelve, it is very improbable that you are actually in love, you have your whole life ahead of you and there are plenty other guys out there.
