Yes. All retired (meaning officers, or enlisted who were retired after 20+ years) can wear the uniform once they are no longer in the military and can be buried in it. Also any Veteran can do the same.

*note Veteran means they served during wartime or peacetime and do not have to have been overseas

yes as long as it is a uniform that is allowed to be worn in public. YOU MUST BE ENTITLED TO WEAR IT. Keep in mind it must be appropriate or you should not do it. if you are simply attempting to not have to purchase a suit then i suggest borrowing one from someone or wearing black slacks and a black sweater vest instead
