Yeah, but I wouldn't say high speed. It depends on the size and weight of the tree in order to travel quickly. Also, you must be in the radius of where the tree falls.

How Can Conduction Keep You Warm?

your skin will have to contact with a hot solid.particles from your foot will vibrate causing it to travel around your body making you warm

How does sound travel in solid materials?

Sound travels by causing molecules in the material to vibrate parallel to the direction of motion. Sound waves are longitudinal waves.

How do you get noises 2?

noises occur when an object vibrates causing the particles in the air to vibrate the waves travel in compressions and rarepressions in the air until they reach your ear

Why are drums loud?

when the drum is hit vibrations travel along the surface of the object the drum is on.

Can sound travel in a vacum?

No because there are no particles to vibrate

Where can't sound travel through?

A vacuum, there are no oxygen particles for it to make vibrate.

Why does sound travel faster in warm?

Because the molecules are less dense and they vibrate faster letting sound travel faster

Why do sounds NOT travel through outer space?

Sound is a vibration when something makes a noise every thing around vibrates in order to make the sound for it to travel it needs particles to vibrate there is almost no matter in outer space hence no particles

Why does sound travel better through solid not gas?

Sound is the effect of disturbances of molecules. Imagine a chain reaction similar to Newton's balls - one molecule hits the next, which hits the next, etc. Sound is the same way - molecules vibrate, causing molecules near them to vibrate. Thus, the closer the molecules are to one another, the faster they will transfer the sound energy, and the faster the sound will travel. The general rule is: more dense = faster sound.

Why does sound travel faster through denser materials?

sound unlike light requires a medium to travel.sound propagates from one place to other by causing molecules to vibrate, as molecules of solid are closest vibration produced is maximum, hence speed is maximum

How does sound travel through the air?

it travels because there are sound waves in the air and they vibrate in your ear.

Do p waves vibrate at 90 percent to the wave motion?

They travel the fastest through rocks.
