I just replaced serpentine belt on a 1999 Isuzu rodeo and now it is overheating why?

Firstly what was the need to do that and secondly if its overheating the ask some one who is more knowledgeable about it and never try changing the parts of any vehicle if it not the original part then it can damage the system
