Plants take in sunlight and Carbon Dioxide, and as a by product, produce water and oxygen. when it is humid the air is wet and damp like bathing with hot water. so the plant takes in the water to make photosynthesis.

At higher temperatures air can hold more or less water vapor?

More: when it is at a lower temperature, it falls out of the sky in the form of rain.

Why is there more clouds at higher altitudes?

high altitudes indicate cold temperatures so then that means that water vapor condenses at cooler temperatures and when water vapor condenses then it creates clouds

What cause the difference between temperature and humidity?

Temperature is the amount of heat in a substance, so it's a measure of how fast something's molecules are moving. Humidity is how much water vapor is in the air. Temperature and humidity are different, but they are connected: both are features of the weather, and higher temperatures generally cause higher humidity, while lower temperatures cause lower humidity.

Why rainwater evaporates when it is not 100 degrees Celsius?

Water evaporates at almost any temperature. However, at higher temperatures, the vapor pressure is higher. It is said to be boiling when the vapor pressure is equal to the atmospheric pressure.

Why are clouds at a lower altitude more likely to produce precipitation than those at a higher altitude?

Lower latitudes have high moisture content in the air and the air rises. Lower latitudes near the equator has rising air making the areas have more precipitation.

How does altitude effect boiling points?

The higher the pressure, the higher the boiling point. Boiling occurs when the atmospheric pressure equals the vapor pressure. So, at higher altitudes where the atmospheric pressure is lower, the vapor pressure is also lower which in turn creates a lower boiling point which causes foods to have to cook longer.

Why must gas shipped in the winter to the Northern states different from the gas shipped in the summer to the southern states?

Gasoline best burns when it is vaporized. Longer chain hydrocarbons, or less branched dhain hydrocarbons have a lower vapor pressure. These burn easier at higher temperatures than at cooler temperatures.

Why does PH3 have a higher vapor pressure then NH3?

PH3 has a higher vapor pressure than NH3 because the PH3 has weaker attractive forces. Therefore, PH3 also boils lower than NH3.

Why does water boil at a lower temperature on a mountain than sea level?

The boiling of any liquid is tied in to the atmospheric pressure, in an open system. Every liquid has it's own vapor pressure, that is the balance between the vapor and liquid phase. When atmospheric pressure decreases, the vapor pressure increases since now there is greater space for the molecules of the liquid to come into vapor phase. At higher altitudes, the atmospheric pressure is lesser, that is, the air is thinner. Thus the liquid can attain higher vapor pressure faster and boil at a lower temperature.

What are the different kinds of volatile liquids?

Liquid that has a high boiling point. A liquid that releases molecules as a vapor.

The reduced vapor pressure at high altitudes causes a liquid to boil at a?

The higher the vapor pressure of a liquid at a given temperature, the lower the normal boiling point (i.e., the boiling point at atmospheric pressure) of the liquid.

What is the difference between maritime tropical and polar?

Compared to a maritime tropical airmass, a maritime polar airmass has lower temperature and less water vapor.
