If not working or defective - you can't start the truck. It cuts off the fuel pump. Will it work and cut off later in a crash situation? LoL
when you start the car up that's your ignition switch is located...
The flasher module may be bad try replacing that first. If that is not bad replace the turn signal cam in steering column. the toggle switch would be very hard to do.
Where is the start located on a 1986 420 Sel Mercedes? My car just cut off with no warning. I tried the ignition switch and engine will not not turn over. All other instruments are working when the ingition is engage.
i am currently having a over heating problem with my vw golf mk1 - my new thermo switch is not getting the fan to come on ( works when i short it at the switch connector) - probly a radiator block usually when a thermo switch is not functioning - i will not allow the fan to kick in it either works or it dosent
First, I would check the fueses, below the dash by the drivers feet. If not that, you should check the switch, try inter-changing it, if that doesnt work, you should check for burnt wires. I've had this problem before.
GM vehicles do not have a fuel shut off/inertia switch
In the passengers side kick panel.
under the dash near the transmission tunnel on the passenger side floor
when my 1986 w-250 turn signal switch went out the brake lights quit working.
on the fire wall driver side by the e brake
Depending on if the switching unit is working on the frame rail on the driver's side just at the rear of the cab. It might not be switching to the rear if that switch is not working, also check the switch on the dash.
Check the fuse, check the bulbs and check the brake light switch.
I'm not a mechanic / technician but check in the trunk / hatch area between the taillights . See if there is an oval shaped rubber plug . The fuel pump shut off switch ( inertia switch ) was located there on my 1991 Ford Mustang behind the rubber plug
As with most Fords if its not in the trunk its at the front passenger side kick panel. Sometimes front drivers side kick panel .
there should be a inertia switch under the carpet on pass. side of truck right by the dash board. has 2 wires one is pink w/ black stripe ( on mine) i bypass this and just splice the wires together
driver side next to brake under carpet. * Mine is on the passenger side; under dashboard and has a white RESET botton on the top.
Where is fuel pump reset switch on a 1986 camaro?
