The United States had fought the civil war, advancements in technology made weapons "more efficient" and they had fought numerous battles against Indians in the western United States. Upon the start of Imperialism in US history, Americans were callus, and fought in places like Cuba, and ardently became involved in other nations affairs (Panama, Samoa, and South America).
