Maya Angelou is considered a hero for her resilience in overcoming adversity, her powerful voice in advocating for civil rights and social justice, and her ability to inspire and empower others through her writing and activism. I'm asking the same question?
Everyone claims she is their hero and I want to know what makes her a HERO?
To me a HERO is someone who puts their life on the line for others, or at the very least does something heroic for the sake of others. I suppose one could say she is a hero because she overcame some huge obstacles in her life and in-turn has made others lives better through her writings and teachings. I think there are different degrees assigned to heroes. ie. "Hero", "Super Hero", "Mega Hero", "Ultimate Hero", "Extreme Hero". With that being said I suppose she is a "Hero"
