Changing the heater hose hidden between the engine and the firewall under the plenum on a 96 Isuzu rodeo.
Best option since there is limited access is to remove the plenum. Take all the bolts out of plenum. Remove wire harness to free plenum up enough to remove. Detach from air intake.
Then you'll be able to get at that hose. When putting it back on you'll need a new plenum gasket.
Hose cost around $10 and gasket is like $6. Garage will probably charge you $300+
On a 2002 Isuzu Rodeo, the thermostat is located at the end of the top radiator hose on engine. It is situated under the intake manifold.
Try housing at the engine end of the upper radiator hose
on the themostat housing where the upper rad hose meets the intake manifold
There are two heater hoses. One goes from the head, or top of the engine, to the heater core in the passenger compartment, the other goes from the heater core to the water pump, thermostat, or some other part of the water jacket. Check the instructions for the flushing kit.
2 fuel line hose clamps matching hose diameter
The PCV is screwed into the front of the intake manifold, top right and has a hose coming out of it.
Usually in the housing at the engine end of the upper radiator hose right in the front of the engine just follow the large radiator hose to the front of the engine
its either a bad caliper or the the brake hose itself could be bad
the thermostat for this engine is located at the top front of the engine under the elbo that conects the hose to the top tank
Isuzu rodeo 4 cylinder sparkplug changevery important remove the cables and sparkplugs 1 at a time so you wont confuse the cables later on. i got a 97 4 cylinder. you will need 2 small extensions to reach the sparkplugs. on the top right you will have to remove with a Philip screwdriver the air hose(aprox. 3" thick) to have easy access to the sparkplugs.
u need an 8th inch enkay heat shrink heater hose and some clamps
...is located under the intake plenum on top of the block. Follow the lower radiator hose to the top of the block. pita location for sure.
