Take off greese fitting on rear caliper and pump the brake lever until fluid starts to squirts voilently. then make sure that you put grease fitting on fast enough before more air enters the caliper. the top of the grease fitting is often covered by a rubber cap. Palmiero NY
The rear master on the Goldwings controls both the rear caliper and one of the front calipers . I think it is the right. bleed the front right first then the rear Hope this helps.

You have air in you brake lines. Properly bleed the brakes. i just replaced my rear breaks aswell in my 87 jetta but i can't bleed my brakes i though my master cylinder was dead but it is working and so is my proportion release vaulve i can't understand why they won't bleed does anyone have an idea of what to do?
If you are having a low pedal feel, chances are you do not to bleed you brakes. I beleave you have shoe and drum set up in the rear. Have your brakes cleaned & adjusted. This will firm up your brake pedal.

yes the rear end is the same from 82-2002 the breaks and gear ratio's are what makes the difference
