In order to become a stock broker you just have to sign a sub broker agreement with the main broker. Currently in India the Arihant Capital Markets Ltd. is providing the sub brokership. You have to deposit a nominal amount as a security deposit with the company and you can start your own trading terminal. v i z h e a d @ g m a i l . c o m

I came across a great article the other day on ehow.com, my brother wants to be one and it helped him out tremendously.

http://www.ehow.com/how_5289188_stock-broker-jobs-careers.HTML

You can visit www.longislandbrokeragefirms.com, they specialize in helping you pass the series 7, you get one on one help from a real professor, and best of all they PAY you whilie you study. Then once you pass, their sister company www.listockbrokersuccess.com places you with a senior broker who will teach you the integrity and business ethics to build a successful business. Average 3rd year Stockbrokers make almost 150k a year. That's not too shabby if you ask me.

Check out the site, I'm sure it's exactly what you're looking for.

In addition to those knowledge, I would like to add these pointers;

First, you have to understand the complexity of this profession. While being a treasurer, accountant or a banker gives you the privilege to go home about 5 in the afternoon, being a stockbroker is the contrary. You will have to work more hours and sometimes, even at night time. There will be a lot of sacrifices between you and success.
