Most likely. Some bone could have chipped off and this might cause a tiny amount of internal bleeding. That's why it looks so swelled up. Hamster, and other rodent's bones', are very delicate. Bring the hamster to the vet immediately!
The hamster will be lazy. You should pick it up gently. If it is dragging it's foot it could just be sprained, only if they can move it. If you have the money take it to the vet. Also pray for it. Only a vet can tell you for sure, but if you even suspect it has a broken leg, you should follow the same guidelines given in "How to treat a hamster's broken leg".
Any animal that has a broken leg will be experiencing pain, even if it is an animal as small as a hamster. It is best to take an animal with a broken leg to the vet as soon as possible. This way, the leg can be set properly, and the animal live without pain.
If a hamsters leg is broken it will be in extreme pain, and can damage its leg further every time it moves, as the edges of the bone will grate on each other and may cut and bruise the tissue around them. You will need to take it to a vet as soon as possible, and definitely within a few hours.
It may be limping avoid walking.
Yes, I think they can. My son has a hampster that got out once and in the trapping process it is believed that his arm broke.
It would most likely be limping. Just in case, I would bring it to a vet.
If it is limping or having trouble walking. Also If the leg looks bent the wrong way. Or you could have a vet check it out.
Your hamster might chew it off if not treated so please take it to the vet before it's too late
it will die from constipation problems
Very simple .........................you can't
Your hamster could have got a bad sprain or a bad bruise. Feel around her leg and if you feel a broken bone, bring it to the vet. Only the vet can deal with tiny broken bones. If you don't feel anything broken, then the only answer could be a sprain or bruise. The most common reason is the wheel. If it is an open-barred wheel (it has holes in it) the hamster could have tripped on one of the holes and bruised the leg. Get a closed hamster wheel and make an appointment for the vet. Just to make sure.
If his leg is broken it is kindest to take him to the vet and have him put down. A broken leg can't normally be fixed in a hamster, and he will eventually die in pain.and give it food.
Take him to the vet!
Go to the vet.
It probly has a broken leg take it to a vet or it may be sad or depressed
A trip to the vet is in order.
I'm not going to lie, but I think that there is no hope because my hamster paralyzed it's leg, and It died.
can you put vinegar on a hamster's broken leg
How to find out if it has a broke legI have had hamsters all my life golden and dwarf. Most times if a hamster has a broken leg. The leg will just hang there and move very freely and they will drag that leg along when they walk. It would be swollen a little i am sure. But also if it was bitten by another hamster then it would be swollen and you would see some kind of teeth marks or blood. You can't really speed up the recovery that i know of a vet would know more hope this helped some
You can, but it's not going to help the hamster in any way, broken bones are really traumatic and often get infected, so if you really care for your hamster you should take it to the vet.
The hamsters leg may be broken so I suggest you take him to the vets.
