The gall bladder stores the bile the liver produces to aid in the digestion of fatty foods. With the removal of this organ, the liver still produces enough bile to digest fats, but has nowhere to store it, so bile passes into the digestive tract whenever it is produced.

In general the person should limit the amount of high-fat products they consume; such as fried foods, dairy products or fatty meats.
