You can be at least 14 years of age! However, at that age, you have to be at top class and pass the Youth Academy and go up the world ladder. Normally, you can start swimming in the Olympiics at the age of 16. It depends on how your swimming progresses through the future.

there is no age requirement for swimming in the Olympics.There is a 13 year old girl from Togo,Africa competing in the London Games which makes here the youngest ever to compete in swimming.Before her was USA's Amanda Beard at 14 in the 96' Atlanta game where she won 1 gold and 2 silver medals.In men's swimming I believe Ian Thorpe of Australia is the youngest male ever when he competed at 14 in Sydney in 2000 where he took 3 gold and 2 silver medals

their isnt really any age but you do need to know how to swim of course. Most offten people start beetween the ages of 6-10 year old.

There is no maximum age for competing at the Olympics - a long as you qualify for your national swimming team you can compete
