This depends a bit on the condition of the engine. I would not change motor oil less than every 3000 miles or 5000 km. Oil grade is important, for a worn engine in a hot climate, use SAE 40 or 20-40, in a colder climate use a thinner oil such as SAE 10-30 all year round. Do not use very cheap motor oils, as they contain fewer additives. For worn engines, consider buying an engine oil additive that makes for greater viscosity. Change the oil filter every time you change the oil. Don´t believe those who claim engine oil will last 6000 miles or more. The processes of heat combustion create sulfuric acid, soot and other dangerous contaminants that gradually make the oil unfit for lubrication. However, do not change the oil more often than every 3000 miles since too frequent oil changes have also been shown to create excessive engine wear in some cases. Changing the engine oil is the most important maintenance task most drivers are faced with. Don´t neglect it as this may cause your entire engine to fail, the pistons will seize in the cylinders and then you are up against major costs for parts and work, in some cases costs that equal the price of the vehicle.
When the computer throws the code that you need to change the sensor.
You need to flush the power steering fluid on a 2003 Toyota Highlander every two to three years. You should check the fluid levels weekly.
I have found that the filter should be changed around 90K in normal use and 60K in severe conditions. Toyota Tech.
You should change your automatic transmission fluid in Toyota gearbox at least after every 30,000 miles.
every 30k miles
you should change oil on you car every 5000 miles
The only answer I can find in the manual is when the dashboard "maintenance required" signal appears. I'm thinking it's around 5000 miles, but I don't know for sure, as I just got my 2005 Highlander recently.
Each 5k miles.

Change it every 75,000 miles.
Every 8000 km,or 6 moths.
Every 15,000 miles.
