How often can a 7 week puppy take a bath?

The most a dog should be bathed is once a month with a dog shampoo. More frequent bathing can lead to skin issues, which cause the dog to be very smelly,which people try to solve by more bathing-creating a vicious cycle where the problem is never solved. If you are concerned about doggy smell between monthly baths,there are plenty of doggy body sprays available through veterinarians and at large pet supply stores which you can use as needed. But don't bathe your dog more than once a month unless it's an emergency (rolled in poo or something)-they need their coat oils to help keep their skin healthy.

I don't think you should be bathing them at all in the sence you put them in the tub hose em down scrub and rinse. If they are that young the mother is probably still cleaning them. If there is not mom to clean them usually and warm rag and wipe them down is good enough until they are about 10-12 weeks old then you can give the bath a try. Don't think they will be to keen on the idea at first try to make it as easy as poosible for them, then the next time you and your little friend will have an easier time the next time the make a mess of themselves.

Depends on the breed and if ever in doubt, ask your vet. As from my experience with short hair and medium hair breeds, you should give them a bath whenever they need it, ie they have pooped/urinated in their crate, or some other must-clean need. Then you should consider once a month bath for the first 3 to 4 months. This ensures that they understand what a bath is and they are not fearful of it when they are larger and harder to control. Always use a puppy shampoo and never get the water or soap in their ears or eyes. I never let their heads get wet. In fact, if you don't already have an attachment that you can use in the shower/tub, then get one. It will be great tool when the pup is full grown. If their head ever needs cleaning, just use a washcloth (and I use baby shampoo since it is even gentle for little babies.) Once they are at 4 months. Only bathe every couple of months or when they need it. I have boxers, which are super short hair, and when they need it, I give them a bathe, otherwise, I wipe them down w/ a cloth and put a little freshening spray on.

It depends on what kind of pup you have. If you have an indoor dog like a Bichon Frise, you'll only need to bathe him/her every other week. If your pup really likes to get dirty, try bathing him/her every week.

it depends how dirty your dog is. if your dog isn't dirty you should wash it at least once a month but if your dog is dirty and is starting to itch because of the dirt and fleas its " bath time!!!"
