If you only eat 500 calories a day you will lose weight at a very unhealthy speed. You can't live on 500 calories a day forever so as soon as you eat more you will gain it all back. And if you are lets say 250 pounds and ate only 500 calories you would be eating 2300 calories less than you need to maintain your weight. 2300*7 is 16100 less a week that is 4.6 pounds. If you weight less or more than this you may lose more or less pounds. Please visit livestrong.com and click on the daily plate it will help you set goals to lose weight and help you figure out how many calories you can eat a day to burn the amount of fat you want. Dont follow the diet you mentioned or you might hurt yourself.
If you only eat 500 calories per day you would make yourself very sick. No one should really go below 1000 calories per day. You will try but your body won't let you - you will either end up binge eating a lot of calories or your body will start eating your muscle and other body tissues to get energy instead.
Every person, based on their age and lifestyle has a set amount of calories their body needs to function. If you want to find out what yours is, type in "basal metabolic rate" into Google and then find a calculator you can type your information into. That number is the basic amount of calories your body burns. If you reduce the amount of calories you eat from that by 250 calories per day, and then you burn 250 calories per day exercising, that means you will have lost 3500 calories in a week. 3500 calories equals one pound. This is a safe amount to lose.
If you are still confused then join fitday or sparkpeople, they will help you. If you do lose more than that or starve yourself you will only be hurting yourself and make it harder for your body to lose that weight.
It would depend on your weight, height , age. Also depends on water, waste and nutrients. But, for simplification here is my answer: I am 46yo female 5'1" current weight is 140lbs. Lets say I need 1400 kcal to stay alive, sedentary lifestyle. This would allow my respiratory, neuro, musculoskeletal, digestive, cardiovascular systems function. This would be a BMI. If I ate 1200 kcals then I would have a 200kcal credit, plus I exercise off 600kcals then I have a deficit of 800 kcals and because I take care of my kids and horses and my home throughout the day I can probably burn an additional 500kcals in 14 hours of wake time. This gives me a total of 1300 kcals gone for the day x 7days = 9100 kcals divided by 3500kcals to lose a pound = 2.6 pounds per week (roughly)
NO ONE should be consuming only 600 calories a day. It is not enough to sustain life. The minimum recommended level is around 1400 calories for a woman who wants to lose weight.
I would say it depends on your body type and exercise etc. Is this really a serious quiestion though..seriously?
In theory, you would go down by 100 calories per day, or a little over one pound (1/2 kilo) per month.
You can lose your life due to starvation.
Consume less calories than you burn.
You should eat healthy and well balanced diet and exercise daily. I exercise daily for 30 minutes and burn 350 calories per day. Also, I consume 400 calories less than the usual calorie intake. This way if you consume 3500 calories less per week, you will loose a pound.
Not really. Only athletes should burn excessively high amounts of calories daily.
Near and around 1800 if your into sports and burn calories add more
well, it depends on your calorie intake per day. Basically how many calories you consume a day. If you burn more calories than you consume you will lose weight.
It depends on how many calories they consume; if you are of a slighter build and eat less calories, you need to burn less.
You have to burn more calories than you consume.
Primarily only if the meat is high in fat, and/or you do not burn off the calories that you consume throughout the day.
That's called dieting. Calories are the bodies fuel. To lose weight one must consume less calories than will be burned due to normal daily activites and exercise.
It depends on how fast you want to lose those 15 pounds by. To lose one solid pound of body weight, you need to burn 3,500 more calories than you consume. For 15 pounds, that means you need to burn 52,500 more calories than you consume. Here is the breakdown of the time it would take and the calories that would need to be cut out.... (this is also assuming that you are exercising and burning a considerable number of calories, daily, too.) * 1 month = 1750 calories less daily. * 2 months = 875 calories less daily. * 3 months = 580 calories less daily. * 6 months = 290 calories less daily. * 1 year = 145 calories less daily.
A calorie is a calorie, no matter what source you get it from. That is, if you consume more calories than you burn, then you will gain weight; if you consume less calories than you burn, then you will lose weight.
3500 calories are in one pound of fat. To lose the weight you have to burn 3500 more calories than you eat. Fact: every time you laugh you burn 3.5 calories...laugh 1,000 times every day to burn 3500 calories.
