Dwarf rabbits should follow the same diet guidelines as all pet rabbits - they just eat less because they're smaller. (For example, the guidelines say that a 6 pound rabbit should eat 1/4-1/2 cup of pellets per day. If your dwarf weighs 3 pounds, that means she should eat 1/8-1/4 cup of pellets per day.) ∙ 14y agoWell, for pellets, for every five pounds, give them a fourth of a cup. And they always need unlimited hay! It is the STAPLE of their diet. Whenever it is low, always put more. But don't do that with pellets. And without saying, bunnies always need water. And a few grens are a good idea, too.

∙ 14y agoIt depends on the breed of rabbit you have and the age. A 4class animal should eat between 4 and 6oz. of pellets per day, a 6class animal should eat between 8 and 10oz. of pellets per day. It all depends on the breed and the age and the purpose you are raising rabbits for.

∙ 12y agoHay should be available to your rabbit in unlimited amounts all the time, 24/7. Rabbits need to eat lots of hay to stay healthy -- for their teeth, their guts, and their mental health!
Otherwise, how much food you feed your rabbit (pellets and fresh greens) depends on how big your rabbit is. Also, not all rabbits are identical: some rabbits are healthier with more pellets and less greens, while others are healthier with less pellets and more greens! Observe your rabbit and talk to your vet about an appropriate diet.
The House Rabbit Society recommends, for a 6 pound rabbit, between 1/4 and 1/2 cup of pellets, and 2 cups veggies.
