What is the Calorie requirement of an adult German Shepherd Dog?

It's going to depend on the individual dog, their metabolism, and their exercise level. For example, I have one dog that weighs ten pounds less than her mother and needs twice the calories to sustain her. Her metabolism is just that much higher than her mother's.

If you're talking about a growing puppy, feed them liberally because they grow up fast, and I mean fast! Especially is they're German German Shepherds as opposed to American German Shepherds which are smaller. Once they reach their full growth -my two dogs got to this point at 2 1/2 years old- they should eat twice a day, two cups of food each if they're fixed, three if they're not. Also, I include in one of their meals an egg, some milk, cheese or yogurt, and some canned food. Try their food to be good quality because it will show in their fur and their energy level. A good way to know if food is good is to smell it; the smell should be closer to meat than to corn flakes. Good luck with your dog, start training him/her early, otherwise they will outsmart you. Water is fuel for German Shepherds, they drink a lot so have always a big container with fresh water available for your dog.

Ps if you want to make your dog extra big feed him alot a day like 3 times and lots of water and milk and walk it 4 times a day and keep him ou in a shed or somthing that's good training

It depends on the individual dog. I have two females of similar size. One eats eight cups per day and the other three cups per day. One simply has a higher metabolism than the other. Start by feeding the amount recommended on the bag of dog food. If you can see your dog's ribs, you aren't feeding enough. If you can't see his waist, you are feeding too much. German Shepherds should be lean, fit dogs. So don't forget to give them lots of exercise too. Your vet can also advise you on whether your dog is the correct weight at your annual vet exam.
