My son moved to London and we want to buy his car with the Power of Attorney in Florida. We then want to go to Pa and transfer the tag there. Please help.
It depends on what state you live in. In Florida, you keep your tag and transfer it to your new vehicle.
$17 to transfer and $44 to tag it. So rougly $61 overall which is cheaper than most states
yes
Just got mine done on 10/27/11 paid 412.80 that was for the physical tag retitled and new registration. If you can find someone with an expired Fl tag willing to give it or sell it to you it will only cost 118.00 according to the title guy that was helping me on mine.
You can request "fast title" service at time of transfer and get the title immediately from your local tag office or to receive it by mail, allow approximately two weeks from date of transfer.
In CT you can transfer your present registration and old tags to your new car for a fee.
Contact your local DMV.
She could in some states. However, since neither of us knows you, and you are not related to us in some way, then no. My wife will not transfer the tag from her vehicle to your car. Seriously, your wife can transfer the tag from her vehicle to your car. Most of the US states are common property states. That is what you own in the marriage, she does. Even in states that are not common property states, the spousal relationship permits a lot of cross over of property.
Bring all your paper work for both vehicles with you to a MVD in Alabama.
To find car rentals for a vacation in Florida you can go to car rental sites such as Enterprise, Hertz, Dollar Rent a Car, Budget, Expedia and Red Tag.
