I paid $ 129.99 at the GM dealership for Power Steering flush & fill with synthetic
fluid.
Probably about $3.00/pt.
well they call it brake fluid for a reason and it works for your brakes.. so get power steering fluid and fill the power steering up with power steering fluid and everything will work properly.. putting brake fluid in the power steering might work for a little while but eventually it would just break the power steering and you looking at some expensive cost and time so just do it the proper way the first time. you will come out with more money and time... you can do it but i dont recommend it
Depends on the Car, it will cost you around $200 although you should be sure your power steering fluid isn't out first

If the Nissan Sentra is leaking power steering fluid, the power steering pump will need to be replaced. This part can be purchased at a salvage yard in most cases. A new power steering pump will cost between $90 and $130 just for the part. A salvage yard will probably charge $50 to $80 for a used one.
save your money and buy some power steering stop leak. otherwize it depends if its the power steering pump or just one of the hoses.it could range from 125 to over a thousand depending on your vehicle
Usually about $89.00 (average). Depends on type of fluid, how much needed, and ease of access to components.
Honda vehicles have a habit of "foaming" their power steering fluid. You can use other fluids for an emergency, say you are on the road and the only fluid a truck stop has is generic, but Honda recommends then draining it out and replacing it with a fluid to their specifications as soon as possible. Using other power steering fluids without as much anti-foaming additive will result in short-term whining in the power steering system and the air bubbles will make the steering sluggish and jerky. Long-term effects of aerated fluid are pump cavitation(damage) and premature wear of the power steering gear (air bubbles don't lubricate). I would stick with what Honda says to use, since it really doesn't cost much more and service intervals for most power steering systems are quite long. Hope this helps. Sincerely, Panopticon
Castrol Hydrolic Steering Mineral Oil. Only available at Jaguar dealer. At my dealer cost is 13.00 per qt. hope that helps. :)
The cost of a power steering belt will vary depending on a few factors. These factors are the make, model, and year of the vehicle.
There was actually a recall for the power steering. It is covered by the dealership and should be fixed at no cost to you. The recall said the power steering assist will go out and the power steering light will go on.
Not a very good idea, put something in it ATF will work. If you drive with no fiuld in it keep in mind you will have replace the pumpI can tell you from experience it is hard to turn the wheel when the power steering doesn't work right. Do not do it. It will cost you more in the long run. Easy to buy the fluid and put in.
